The Yeppoon Lions club had it’s origin in January 1967, as a result of an idea shared by several local residents who wanted to serve their local community. Other residents who shared their ideals banded together with them to form a Club,
The first meeting was held on 29 March 1967 with 21 charter members attending. A Lions Ladies auxilary was then formed and this enabled the wives of the members to assist in the various projects undertaken by the Club.
