BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY DECORATING
In the lead-up to Pinefest, many businesses craft creative displays following the theme for the year. Shop fronts and businesses alike join in the fun of Pinefest. Pop in to have a look at the displays and support these local businesses that support our community.
ART EXHIBITION
The Creative Generation Excellence in Visual Arts Regional Exhibition – The 2025 Exhibition will be launched beach side at the Emu Park Art Gallery on the 7th October. The exhibition will sail into the sunset on the the 19th October. This is a great opportunity to see the local talent.
Gala Event
Join us for the enchanting Pinefest Gala Night, a highlight of our Pinefest celebration!
Save the date and prepare to don your finest tropical attire for an unforgettable evening themed “Sail into the Tropics.”
This spectacular event will take place on the 10th October at the Keppel Bay Sailing Club, where the vibrant atmosphere and breathtaking views will set the perfect backdrop for a night of joy, connection, and celebration. Watch this space and the socials for when tickets go on sale as tickets will be limited.
BEACHFRONT ENTERTAINMENT
Beachfront fun and entertainment has something for everyone! Come and check out the local talent performing centre stage throughout the day. Amusement rides will also await you!
MARKETS
Local food vendors, artisan arts and crafts and much more will adorn the Yeppoon Main Beach on Saturday 11th October, 2025. The markets usually run between 11.30 am to 8.00 pm.

BEACHFRONT ENTERTAINMENT
STREET PARADE
One of the main feature events is the annual street parade. The street parade is a showcase of creativity. Vehicles big and small, powered and human powered… What will your “Sail into the tropics” float look like in 2025?
Entrance to the street parade is free
The parade usually runs along the main street (James Street) from 3pm to 4pm with no registration form or fee, simply join the fun! Floats are requested to marshal at the western end of James St from 2pm with judging from 2.15pm.

- Grand Champion
- Champion Theme
- Champion Business
- Champion Most Colourful
- Champion School, Club or Community Group
- Champion Most Comical
This is a no trace event, which requires all participants to take home, all items.
Safety measures:
Parade entry conditions include that no missiles of any kind are thrown such as flour and water bombs. All elements of your float must be secured to reduce risk of items flying away/impact on the environment. Water jets of any kind may not be sprayed at crowds along the parade route. All parade items to keep moving at a minimum of 3 km per hour. No semi-trailers are able to participate due to the turning circle.
FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
The grand finale of Pinefest showcases the breathtaking Fireworks Extravaganza. Each year, the tides play a role in determining the launch site for the dazzling display that takes place around 7.30pm.
Regardless of where the fireworks are set off, you can always look forward to a spectacular view from the beachfront precinct, where vibrant colours light up the night sky and reflect beautifully on the water as we say farewell to our Sail into the tropics adventure for 2025..
